Grady Sizemore


Grady Sizemore III was born on August 2nd 1982 in Seattle Washington. He was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the third round of the 2000 draft out of Cascade High School in Washington.

He was part of one of the biggest trades in Indians history. Cliff Lee, Brandon Phillips, Lee Stevens and Grady came to Cleveland in exchange for Bartolo Colon and Tim Drew.

He would go on to win several awards in his minor league career including the the 2003 Eastern league Rookie of the Year, the Larry Doby Award from the Futures game, and the Lou Boudreau Award for being the best position player in the Indians system.

Grady's first taste of big league action would come in 2003 when he hit .246 with 4 homeruns, 24 RBI and 2 SB in 138 at bats.

His first full season would come in 2004 after an injury to Juan Gonzalez opened up a roster spot. Ever since he has been a vital part of the Indians offense.

He currently has 111 career homeruns, 349 RBI, and 117 SB. He is a 3 time All-Star and a Gold Glove to his credit as well.
